Hey folks,

I'm looking for some end-user opinions on the four virtual exchanges. More specifically, I'd like to know:

Which exchanges you use the most/least
Which exchanges you like the most/least
The various purposes you see for different exchanges
Any general opinions about the quality of individual exchanges or their listed companies
Anything else you'd like to share.

The reason I'm asking for this information is to get a general sense of the community's feelings about the different exchanges and the platform itself. Though I like to think I have a 'grasp' on the community overall, it'd be nice to have some hard data. This information will likely be used in future articles, but names and other identifying details (e.g. distinctive prose) will be omitted unless I pursue and receive an individual's permission. Further, none of this data will be freely given or sold to anyone.

I'd prefer that this information be emailed to me, particularly anything that could be construed as inflammatory. Of course, I can't stop anyone from responding in this thread, so I guess I'd ask that any forum respondents limit themselves to aspects of this exchange that they like or would like to see improved. Private messages are acceptable, just keep in mind that administrators may have access to these messages.  CEOs of listed companies and Exchange CEOs/Admin are likewise invited to participate and will be afforded all those protections listed herein.

Thanks/All best,

km

p.s. Samantha if you're willing, I'd appreciate having this post translated into Italian and posted on the Italian general discussion. I'll figure out some way to have  responses translated independently, and any feedback they provide publicly may be beneficial to the exchange. At any rate, they're part of the community and their opinions as valuable as anyone else's.

The post has been translated to the best of my knowledge; the spirit of the original content has been preserved and in good faith I believe the translation to be accurate.

That said, should anyone decide to post here on the forums, criticism and negative comments are appreciated. When it comes to private messages, we guarantee that those are private and no admin reads them, still we invite you to use email to contact Konner Mcdonnell.

Konner,

I may be considered biased as an employee of ACE, but think I am objective enough about exchanges in general.  All have their own character, and community, although many investors use every exchange.  I can't see any reason why this would change and truly appreciate the diversity.  The companies assigned to different exchanges also bring a wealth of investor choices that may confuse at times but again are individual in personality and so add to be beauty of the market itself.  Each exchange offers its own brands, and means of consumption.

If there were any objection, heheh, it would be all those damn steps to get into Vstex.  (I tried to make a landmark in lobby but couldnt.  Ah, I know, just the weak complaints of a very old man.)

Ah, heck Cliff, we're all biased. That's kind of the beauty of it. All those biases come together in a big mess that I get to sort out - I'm looking forward to it. The things you've described are what I'm hoping to understand about each individual user, albeit, in more precise terms.

I've already received a good deal of feedback and I'm excited by the possibility of receiving more. The responses have ranged from blunt answers to my listed questions to an analyses and stories of that user's arrival and subsequent use of the exchanges. After reading these, I'm thinking a simple description of user characteristics may not be sufficient. It may be time to tell the world about our community, why it will grow, and why they'll want to be part of it. But I'll need a lot more data for that one. I'll cross my fingers.

Thanks immensely for taking the time out to answer this, Cliff, I really do appreciate it. Mind those steps.
